The city of Juarez has declared its summer camp, “Mis Vacaciones en la Biblioteca,” or My Vacation at the Library, a success.

Aimed at children between 6 and 12 years old, the program was designed to promote reading and various cultural activities. It was coordinated among 24 public libraries in the city.

The camp started July 4 and will run through Friday. It is sponsored by the city of Juarez through the General Directorate for Education and Culture.

“With the objective of having fun, Mis Vacaciones en la Biblioteca, helped make sure children were able to relax while learning,” said Arturo Tolentino, one of the branch librarians.

The city did not say how many children took part in the program.
