Social workers from the Juárez police department are giving presentations to children and adolescents in the city’s downtown area, according to a city news release.

It is part of the city’s strategy for reconnecting with residents, bolstering relationships  and building trust.

Attendance is voluntary. The sessions also help the city identify emerging problems so they can be addressed before they become serious, the city said.

Topics include communication, conflict management, addictions and values.
