University invests 5.5 million pesos in latest technology

With an investment of about 5.5 million pesos, the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez has completed a computer upgrade in data centers of its four schools.
UACJ acquired 434 computers, which were installed in data centers to support the training of students and teachers in the latest technology.
University rector Carlos Javier Sánchez, accompanied by university officials and directors of the four institutes during a ceremony that included the symbolic delivery and commissioning of the new computer equipment.
In the opening event held at the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sánchez called on students to take advantage and take care of the equipment.
The upgrade included 163 new computers delivered to the Institute of Engineering and Technology, 95 to the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, 39 to Architecture, Design and Art and 137 to Social Sciences and Administration.
The rector said the distribution of equipment to the institutes was conducted according to enrollment and the requirements of each school’s curriculum.
