Four health fairs remain on the calendar for the seventh annual Dia del Niño sponsored by the Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Department and the AmeriCorps VISTA program.

Doña Ana County Community Resource Centers in Radium Springs, Chaparral, Rincon and Del Cerro will coordinate activities and raffles to promote the health and welfare of children for residents in each community through the end of April.

The first Dia del Niño fair kicked off in Organ on April 12. Nearly 100 people from Organ, Butterfield Park and the surrounding communities enjoyed demonstrations by the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Department K-9 unit and Doña Ana County Fire and Emergency Services.
