In what is becoming at tradition at the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez, undergraduate education students have donated educational materials to 20 schools and social service agencies throughout the city.

The Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez recognized 32 entrepreneurs and presented them with the business plans during a graduation ceremony on Friday.

The future business people crafted their business plans at the university’s Institute of Social Sciences and Administration.

Four young Juárez artists will visit Greece and Portugal this summer as their prize in the city first Urban Graffiti Contest, according to a city news release.

Youth gathered outside the Benito Juárez Olympic Stadium early Friday morning for the contest coordinated by the city’s community centers and professional visual artists from the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez.

University researchers in Ciudad Juárez say they have devised a technique using virtual reality to treat crime victims in the city for post-traumatic stress disorder.

In a joint project by the National Autonomous University of Mexico and Autonomous University of Ciudad Juarez, researchers enrolled 200 people who met the research criteria — they suffered from PTSD as a result of have been a victim of a crime or having witnessed a crime, according to a news release.

University students in Ciudad Juárez are working to promote a culture of recycling in the city by creating a variety of furniture and office accessories from cast-off everyday items.

The students of ecology at the Institute of Architecture, Design and Art of the Autonomous University of Ciudad Juárez exhibited a sample of their creations — made from waste paper, bottles, tires and a range of other waste materials — at an event last week.
